What is PROFHILO?

Profhilo is an injectable, non-surgical facelift treatment, made with Hyaluronic Acid, a compound occurring naturally in the body. Profhilo treatment will improve your skin tone, texture, hydration and elasticity. It also tightens and lifts the skin leaving your face feeling firm and looking radiant.

Is PROFHILO treatment safe?

Yes, Profhilo is a very safe treatment. The compounds in Profhilo are natural, very bio-compatible and will break down in the skin after a period of time. If you have an allergy to Hyaluronic Acid products, are breastfeeding or pregnant, you should avoid this type of treatment.

How does PROFHILO work?

The Hyaluronic Acid stimulates the production of four different types of collagen and elastin under the skin. This means that rather than ‘filling’ wrinkles it ‘curls’ them. The skin laxity is improved from within by this process.

What areas are suitable for PROFHILO treatment?

Profhilo has been shown to have great effects on:

  • All parts of the face

  • Neck

  • Décolletage

  • Upper arms

  • Hands

  • Knees

How does the treatment take place?

For a facelift the Profhilo injections are placed at five spots on your face to give the best overall coverage and results. We apply a local anaesthetic to the needle sites to aid comfort. One course of treatment will consist of two sets of injections, four weeks apart.

Who is this treatment suitable for?

Anyone who is suitable for a dermal filler treatment can avail of Profhilo.

What are the side effects of PROFHILO?

Side effects are minimal. There may be redness at the injection sites and mild swelling and bruising – this is due to the needle rather than the injection and should be back to normal within a few days.

How long does a PROFHILO treatment last for?

A treatment can last for up to six months.

After care

  • Do not exercise for 48 hours

  • Avoid excessive temperatures
